This Friday & Saturday Wolfe Lane is giving away 30 double passes to the preview screening of "The Killer Inside Me" at Luna cinemas in Leederville.
Staring Casey Affleck, Jessica Alba & Kate Hudson, the film is based on the
novel by legendary pulp writer Jim Thompson, Michael Winterbottom's The Killer Inside Me tells the story of handsome, charming, unassuming small town sheriff's deputy Lou Ford. Lou has a bunch of problems. Woman problems. Law enforcement problems. An ever-growing pile of murder victims in his West Texas jurisdiction. And the fact he's a sadist, a psychopath, a killer. Suspicion begins to fall on Lou, and it's only a matter of time before he runs out of alibis. But in Thompsons savage, bleak, blacker than noir universe nothing is ever what it seems and it turns out that the investigators pursuing him might have a secret of their own.

A narrow laneway reveals black ropes, a tiny queue of peeps, an even tinier fur-hooded doorgirl (shout out to Luana) and a covert door leading into one of Perth's more upmarket small bars. From the silhouette mural on one wall, to the silver tube downlights over the bar, to the black/white/red leather furnishings...Wolfe Lane is pure class. Exposed brick walls showcase black framed windows, underneath which patrons chat and swill in cosy groups.
